Project Overview
Mission Road Electrical were appointed by Bison Concrete & Civils as the electrical contractor for the full refurbishment of 14 ground-floor flats at Home Lake House, Poole, following significant flood damage. The works formed part of an insurance reinstatement project, ensuring every flat was restored safely and upgraded to modern electrical standards.
The Challenge
After a major flood, the lower-level apartments at Home Lake House suffered extensive water damage, leaving electrical systems unsafe and unusable. The project required a complete electrical rewire and inspection across multiple dwellings, with close coordination between trades, insurers, and the principal contractor to meet tight deadlines and compliance standards.
The Solution
Mission Road Electrical completed a comprehensive electrical refurbishment across all 14 affected units.
Our works included:
- Safe removal of all flood-damaged cabling and fittings
- Installation of new cabling, consumer units, and accessories
- Energy-efficient LED lighting throughout
- Full electrical testing and certification to BS7671 standards
- Ongoing coordination with Bison Concrete & Civils and other trades to maintain smooth project flow
Our experienced engineers managed site scheduling, communication with insurance representatives, and compliance documentation from start to finish.
The Results
All flats were successfully rewired, tested, and handed over within a three-month period. Residents were able to return to fully refurbished homes with safe, modern, and efficient electrical systems — delivered on time and to specification.
“We’re so happy with our newly refurbished flat. Bison and Mission Road have been fantastic and so accommodating. We’re very happy with the end outcome considering the upheaval of the whole situation originally.”
