Swapping old electric vehicle chargers for new in an office carpark

Our Client, EURAC Poole have over half a century of experience supplying the automotive industry, specialising in the casting and distribution of brake discs.

Brief

EURAC wanted to improve the capability for staff to charge their cars onsite by replacing old chargers with new. The new EV chargers specified by EURAC were much quicker and therefore needed more power to operate and came to Mission Road for advice and installation.

Solution

EURAC had already specified that they would like the MyEnergi Zappi 22kw chargers. Mission Road were quick to respond with a site survey and organised groundworks.

A new 35mm submain was run in with an external distribution board to power 6 the new 22kw EV chargers. The install for the 6 chargers took under three days with minimal disruption to the offices.

Having the new chargers means that the majority of electric cars on site could now be charged in under 2 hours rather than 6. Meaning that more staff can make use of the chargers during day and night shifts.

EURAC were so happy with their new chargers they have entrusted Mission Road Electricals services to install new high level LED lighting in their foundry.
